Rainwater Harvesting

Recycling water or rainwater harvesting?

Want to reduce your water bills?

Water conservation and development of alternative water supplies is necessary to meet our growing demand for fresh water.

Capturing rainwater makes efficient use of a valuable resource, reducing water bills and reducing demand on water supply. Rainwater Harvesting can enhance a property and gains Eco-homes rating points. You can recycle rainwater to use in your washing machine or to flush toilets or WCs. And garden plants much prefer chemical-free rainwater.

Rainwater harvesting is an innovative alternative water supply approach. Rainwater harvesting captures, diverts, and stores rainwater for later use. Implementing rainwater harvesting techniques directly benefits our environment by reducing demand on the water supply, and reducing run-off, erosion, and contamination of surface water.

Start saving money on your water bills.

A complete rainwater harvesting system allows you to capture and store rainwater all year round, thus reducing your water bills and making the best use of a most precious resource.

How is the rainwater harvested?

Rainwater is captured and guided by normal guttering and down pipes from the roof into a storage tank that stores the water. The water is then filtered of leaves, stones and other debris on entering the storage tank before being delivered via an efficient pump to be used as and when required. The size of the storage tank depends on the amount of water available, i.e the average local rainfall and the amount likely to be used.
